Deaths from prescription opioid overdose have quadrupled since 1999, and so have sales of these prescription drugs. Last year, more than 15,000 Americans died from overdoses of prescription opioids.

We wanted to find a simple, impactful way to generate some awareness of the opioid addiction epidemic. So we built a coffin out of the same plastic as a pill bottle. The messaging pointed out the fatal impact of opioid painkillers in the U.S. and invited users to take a pledge to end the opioid crisis.
